As part of HOPE worldwide Malaysia’s Sustainable Green Program Initiatives, we are excited to have our Urban Farm finally erected on the rooftop area of our centre in Boulevard Sentul Raya. The Urban Farm is built to continue providing Teaching, Education and Empowerment to adults, youths and students on sustainable agriculture. The Urban Farm also aligns with SDG Goal #2 Zero Hunger, to achieve Food Security by distributing the harvest of the Urban Farm back to the beneficiaries of the Food Distribution Program.
Last week, we had some of our families who attended the Sustainable Green Program, learning about food waste compost, come to help us, harvest the vegetables at our Urban Farm. From harvesting to packing the vegetables, eventually, these vegetables were distributed to our beneficiaries during our Food Distribution Program last Saturday.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank HAVVA Agrotech Sdn Bhd for the partnership in providing guidance and training to us, in making this Urban Farm program a reality. We also want to extend our gratitude to Dow Chemical for the support towards this program. Here, we are looking forward to a more exciting learning journey with our community!
