Youth Skills Development with Grand Hyatt

Thanks to Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, this year, HOPE worldwide Malaysia receives a donation from Hyatt Community Grant of USD 10,000 for us to develop programs that will strengthen our youths English Proficiency through the Advanced Reading Program, and providing life coaching through mental modal transformation program that could instill self-confidence, discipline and resilience in them to strive through hardships, and prepare them for their future workforce that could lead them to a brighter future.

Since our first collaboration in 2019 through Grand Hyatt RiseHY Initiatives, we have helped many youths to secure employment in Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur as Apprentices. Three of our youths have shown good performance and eventually being offered permanent positions in both F&B and Housekeeping departments. After the cheque presentation, we took photo with one of our youths, Thiem Shan who is now being employed in Grand Hyatt F&B Department. Thank you, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, for giving this opportunity for Thiem Shan to learn and grow with your company. In the coming years, we look forward to work hand in hand with you, to empower more youths to break the poverty cycle!

Besides working on the Education programs, HOPE worldwide Malaysia will also work with Grand Hyatt in providing workshop to prepare youths for their future workshop in hard (Basic Microsoft Office) skills, soft skills (character building) training, personal grooming and job application skills
