Childhood should be filled with discovery, laughter, and special treats. Recently, APU students made that a reality by kindly organizing a magical day out for our beneficiary children, bringing them on an unforgettable trip to a local bird park followed by a feast at A&W!
The adventure began under the canopy of the bird park, where the children’s eyes lit up as they walked among hundreds of colorful feathered friends. Under the careful supervision of the park’s expert caretakers, the children got the rare chance to safely touch and interact with some of the birds. Many of our kids moved from being shy to holding out their hands, giggling as friendly birds perched nearby.
After a morning of exploration, the fun moved to A&W treat. The energy reached an all-time high when Great Root Bear, the famous A&W mascot, made an appearance! They danced along with the mascot, filling the restaurant with pure joy.
Our children walked away from this outing completely exhausted but with the biggest smiles on their faces. They truly had a blast, experiencing a day filled with the simple, carefree joys of being a kid.
We are deeply grateful to APU students who put their hearts into arranging this outing and creating memories!
