For many of us, traveling by air is a normal experience. But for our beneficiary children, flying may be a far-off dream. Many of them have never stepped foot inside an airport, let alone an actual aircraft.
That is why we are incredibly grateful to Cathay for their unwavering commitment to our youth. Every single year, they host our beneficiary children for an unforgettable, high-flying Aviation Explorers Day, giving them an immersive experience that is as close to the real deal as it gets!
A First-Class Backstage Pass for our children; they were given a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at the aviation world. During this special day, our children get to experience the flight briefing, a premium meal, airfield education and the cockpit experience where they step onboard an actual aircraft and sit inside the cockpit, a rare, restricted privilege that very few people ever get to experience.
This day is so much more than a fun field trip. By physically boarding a massive airplane and meeting the pilots and crew, these children are shown a world of endless possibilities. It expands their horizons and inspires them to dream big, proving that no destination in life is out of their reach.
