Lifebuoy and Watsons partnered with HOPE worldwide Malaysia, made an official launch of their hygiene-focused CSR program titled “Kekal, Bersih & Segar” (Stay, Clean & Fresh) at the Orang Asli community at Kg. Bindu in Tapah.

This holistic initiative was designed to uplift health standards, empower the villagers with vital hygiene knowledge, and provide structural upgrades that will impact families for generations. The day was filled with high-energy activities, practical education, and essential provisions for the village:

  • Interactive Hygiene Talk: Lifebuoy conducted a vital hygiene and proper handwashing talk, teaching the community simple habits to prevent illnesses.
  • Essential Care Packs: We provided the Orang Asli community with essential groceries and comprehensive Lifebuoy/Watsons hygiene care packs.

Lifebuoy truly commits to sustainable change. Recognizing that true hygiene requires proper facilities, Lifebuoy fully sponsored the building of 6 proper toilets at Kg. Bindu and 2 more at nearby Kg. Landor.

Before this initiative, basic sanitation was a struggle. Now, thanks to Lifebuoy’s incredible generosity, the villagers have access to safe, clean, and private sanitation facilities, drastically reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and restoring basic dignity to the community.

We are deeply grateful to Lifebuoy for looking beyond temporary fixes and investing in the long-term health and infrastructure of our indigenous communities. In the pipeline, HOPE worldwide’s team will visit underserved and indigenous communities in Penang, Perak, Seremban, Malacca and Kuching.
