Starbucks Malaysia continues to Brew Kindness amid challenging times

On 22 January, a total of 30 volunteers gathered at the Sentul Free Clinic of HOPE to volunteer in the Food Distribution Program, reaching out to a total of 200 low-income families who are the beneficiaries of the Food Distribution Program organized by HOPE worldwide Malaysia.

Before coming to this point, during the White Flag movement last year, during the second national lockdown, our nation was going through a hard time, with many families who have no food to survive. Starbucks stepped in to launch the Goods to Good fundraising campaign from 31 August to 10 September. Within two weeks, Starbucks raised a total of RM 70,722.00 for HOPE worldwide Malaysia’s Food Distribution Program. With that funding, HOPE worldwide Malaysia is able to supply 615 low-income families with groceries and necessities nationwide.

It has been a wonderful journey, amid these unprecedented times, we saw how Starbucks gave their hearts to spread kindness and love for the needy families in our Nation.

Thank you, Starbucks for all your support through these many years through different platforms, assembling your staff and customers, to create sustainable engagement and give back to society. Here we have made a special video to appreciate Starbucks and their volunteers who served selflessly in the Food Distribution Program: https://youtu.be/POrdTEgb4Vk
