HOPEww Live June 25, A Treat of a Lifetime
It is almost impossible for any of us to ever experience walking into the football field with the football players. I know I have never experienced it, but thanks to NIKE, this became a reality not only to me but to 40 boys from Sentul to experience what it is like to walking in to a match with the players. 40 kids from Sentul were given a treat of a lifetime in Shah Alam Football Stadium.

HOPEww Live June 22, A Gift of HOPE to the Needy
Nokia Siemens and Cargill volunteers spend their Saturday afternoon 20th June 09 to serve the community of Sentul by distributing groceries and participated in an activities for the children. A heartfelt thanks to them for giving their time, money and energy to see to the needs of the poor and needy. We are indeed grateful for the donation of 70 bags of 5KG rice by Nokia Siemens and 90 bottles of 2L cooking oil by Cargill for the Sentul community.
Despite the growth of CSR initiatives in Malaysia over the last 20 years, lack of reporting has kept most of the public ignorant of the contributions made. According to The Journal of Corporate Citizenship, within an 18-month period extending from July 2003 to December 2004, approximately RM82.1 million were given away to various charitable societies, programmes, orphanages and the poor, which reflects the fact that, for many Malaysian companies, commitment to CSR is expressed in terms of charitable giving.
But numbers alone can be deceiving. The key lies in accountability of the NGOs in dispensing the financial aid received. Better a penny wisely invested than a pound foolishly squandered.

HOPEww Live May 6, Mock Cheque & Scholarship Award Presentation
Today 6th of May 09, Staedtler Malaysia in conjunction with their worldwide world kids coloring day presented HOPE worldwide KL a mock cheaque amounted to RM 19,253.95 to support its school sponsorship and scholarship award program. The mock cheque was presented by Mr Assim, CEO of Staedtler Malaysia.
Today also 6 children namely Mohd Haikal, Patricia, Rebecca, Mohammed Rizan, Shandellelka and Magheswary received a 1year scholarship award amount to RM1200 to RM1800 each. Later we visited 2 of the families who received the award.

HOPEww Live April 30, Staedtler World Kids Coloring Day at the Curve
In conjuction with Staedtler's world kids coloring Day, a day filled with color pencil demonstation by Uneh (king of color pencils), performances by SRK Puncak Alam and Krista, Coloring Contest, and quiz by RTM2 celebrity host, Terence Dass and Angeline Chong.
HOPEww volunteers supported the event, selling art work to raise funds for HOPEww program. A total of RM 3488.35 was raised through the sale of the art work.
